How does the FLH/MCI Processor calculate the 'slope' index?

When I process OLCI L1b data with SNAP ‘Optical/Thematic Water Processing/ FLH\MCI Processor’, apart from the FLH or MCI images, I have noticed that a ‘slope’ image is also generated, I suppose this file might contain additional information about chlorophyll-a or phytoplankton retrieval. But not technical documents or Help in SNAP have explained this index. I idewntified several pixels in a lake in my study area, and the ‘slope’ value is negative

Can anyone show me more detailed technical guidance? Thanks.

The slope gives you simply the slope between the lower and the upper band.
it is computed as follows:
(upper_radiance - lower_radiance) * (upper_wavelength - lower_wavelength)
