Land Surface Temperature data projection and use in ArcGIS

Dear Snap users,

I’m looking to download all the Night LST data you have since a year (sentinel 3), I did it for one or two recent data, when I create a raster of it, it wasn’t well projected.

I’m using the latest version of SNAP.
I looked at this : Coordinates problem with gpt and Sentinel-3 data
so I’m doing these operations :

  1. Open SNAP 5
  2. open the S3A xfdumanifest.xml file in SNAP
  3. Selected in the Multiple readers combo request the “Sentinel-3 SLSTR L1B products in 1km resolution”

step 3 works for S3A_SL_1_RBT, and it’s well projected in ArcGIS.

but when I want to import S3A_SL_2_LST, SNAP does not ask me
Multiple readers combo request the “Sentinel-3 SLSTR L1B products in 1km resolution” Do you know why ?

Here is a test, you can see that the layer is upside down this time.

Why does it work on RBT and not on LST data ?
Do you know what I’m doing wrong with LST data ?

kind regards,

Benjamin Guinaudeau

Hi Benjamin,

you are not asked for a certain resolution, because LST is provided only on one resolution.

If the data is upside down or not depends on the orbit scan, either it is ascending or descending. After reprojecting the product it should be shown correct. You can also use the wheel in the scene view to turn the image.
