Best Python version for SNAP 6.0

SNAP is compatible with Python 2.7, 3.3 and 3.4. Which would be the best option to get the best SNAP’s performance? Can I use Python 3.4.9 (2018-08-02) version for SNAP? or Should I just use the older Python 3.4.0 (2014-03-17) version?

As far as I know, there is no performance difference. Both version should work.

Thanks for the response, Marco.

Please, I have another related question. During the installation process of SNAP, I understand that the developers have the option to chose the Python version for developing plugins. I guess that this option is not essential to run and use SNAP with all their functionalities? In other words, if I am a “standard” user of SNAP, Would I need to install and activate the option for a Python version?

Many thanks in advance.

No, it is not necessary. Only if you want to run Python scripts or if you want to run processors which are implemented in Python. But currently there are not many.

Many thanks for confirming the info, Marco.
