Does it matter if I use ascending or descending images?

I am trying to compare subsidence in two different areas, but I have finished with one study area using descending images, but I cannot find descending images for another study area that would cover the whole study area, and the one that did cover all the study area,it happens to be in ascending direction. So can I go ahead with ascending direction images?

subsidence is measured along the line of sight, that is the line between the sensor and the surface. Accordingly, it does make a difference if you use ascending or descending images.
It depends on the type of the motion and the incidence angle.

Here, for example, it is quite the same (Figure 4): https://www.mdpi.com/2072-4292/11/1/85
Here is an example where it strongly differs (Figure 6): https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s00190-012-0563-6.pdf

Figure 2 in this publication is also nicely demonstrating it: http://earth.esa.int/fringe09/proceedings/papers/s12_3esfa.pdf
