How to apply downloaded orbit file?

Hi,

I have TOPS spilt a S1 product from 25 Jan 16. When I try to apply an orbit file the download fails. I manually downloaded the precise file from qc.sentinel1.eo.esa.int .

The downloaded file is in the auxdata\Orbits\Sentinel-1\POEORB\2016 local directory. The metadata shows empty values in the orbit state vectors.

How can I manually apply the orbit file to the spilt product?

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but I also have a related issue…
when I try to apply orbit files to sentinel 1 data it fails. The metadata has a state vector time of 16 june 2015 and tries to update with the same date however the product was sensed on 06 Oct 2014.
Any suggestions?
