Noise Removal before Slice Assembly?

Dear SNAP team,

I recently did the latest update and now my usual workflow is messed up. I usually applied first the slice assembly before getting the new orbits and removal thermal noise. Now it states that noise removal should be applied before slice assembly? That sounds strange to me, since one frame is just part of an acquisition that is merged with slice assembly, right?

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to merge the new noise block. We’re still looking to improve the thermal noise removal and slice assembly so this may change. For now the compromise was to require noise removal prior to slice assembly.
