Orbit file server down?

Is it just me, or is https://qc.sentinel1.eo.esa.int/aux_resorb/ down? Any ETA when it should work again?

Thanks!

It seems to be up.

Yes, now it is up again. And in between it has been repeatedly down and up… I’ll keep an eye on it, I hope it will get more stable soon…

Dear all,

The server https://qc.sentinel1.eo.esa.int/aux_resorb/ has been put in place a while ago for the needs regarding QC and cal/val.
Back in 2014, it was the only server available and became the defacto baseline solution for all the users.
The servers behind are having a reliability similar to the Mission Performance Center ones. I don’t recall the exact value but we can accommodate for downtime periods (which is not the case for servers related to the production, for example).

Since some time now, a new server has been put in place (ftp://aux.sentinel1.eo.esa.int/). This one is certainly more reliable. The address of the server was communicated to our SNAP colleagues so I am bit surprise SNAP still relies on the legacy one.

I would recommend SNAP to implement some redundancy as the first might be dismissed in the future.
