Problems to install Snap 6.0 under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Hi all,

I have just downloaded the installation file for Snap 6.0 for 64-bit UNIX systems (I am running 64-bit Ubuntu 16.04 LTS), esa-snap_sentinel_unix_6_0.sh

When I run “sudo sh esa-snap_sentinel_unix_6_0.sh”, I receive the following error:
sudo sh esa-snap_sentinel_unix_6_0.sh
Unpacking JRE …
Preparing JRE …
esa-snap_sentinel_unix_6_0.sh: 217: esa-snap_sentinel_unix_6_0.sh: bin/unpack200: Permission denied
Error unpacking jar files. The architecture or bitness (32/64)
of the bundled JVM might not match your machine.

Can anyone help me to identify what the problem might be? I have run an older version of snap before, which worked without problem.

There seems to be some problem with the permissions on your system.

esa-snap_sentinel_unix_6_0.sh: 217: esa-snap_sentinel_unix_6_0.sh: bin/unpack200: Permission denied

It is not allowed to execute the unpack200.
There was a similar problem reported some time ago, were the unpack200 couldn’t be found at all:
