Sigma Naught Greater than 0

Hello Everyone,

I computed sigma naught using RadarSAT-2 data, however, surprisingly there’re few values greater than zero. I wonder why I am getting sigma naught values greater than zero.

Why should there be no values greater o?

In calibrated radar data (Sigma0) a value of 1 corresponds to a fully isotropic scatterer. Values larger than 1 can result from dihedral scattering or volume scattering effects.
Accordingly, after conversion to dB [10*log10(Sigma0)] a value of 0 corresponds to an isotropic scatterer and values above can exist like they existed before the calibration.
