Running SNAP 8.0.0 on CentOS 7 there are ~181 messages: “mbind: Invalid argument” on start up of snap or gpt. With limited testing so far, this does not appear to have any other effect on operation or outputs.
SNAP 7.0.x now reports “mbind: Invalid argument” also, so this may be related to a config parameter that was updated during installation of 8.0.0.
SOLVED:
-XX:+UseNUMA was in my gpt.vmoptions, and snap.conf files, and my machine is not NUMA. I had mistakenly added this option a while ago. No idea why I did not encounter this issue earlier.
