I want to recognize the threshold that I can consider wind affect on water backscatter in my Sentinel-1 data. So the paper that I am reading used Radarsat and it defines the wind speed threshold for Radarsat differently in different beam modes. Like for example for beam mode S4 it considers wind speeds more than 10 km/h as the threshold for effect of wind on water that more than this may cause double backscattering and misclassified as ice and that is the time that we use HV instead of HH. SO I don’t know how to identify this threshold for Sentinel 1 data. Is it something like a number in its metadata that can be compared to beam modes in Radarsat and use it for my project? Any help is appreciated.
