Free and Open RADARSAT-1

The Canadian Space Agency CSA is planning to make all of RADARSAT-1 freely available. However, they don't know how much of demand there is for single pol data from 1995-2013. If you're interested in the data please let them know http://www.asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/contact.asp so they can fund it. Free historic data from Landsat has created various innovations and research. It would be great to spark similar innovations with historic SAR data.

Where can I download Terrace X radar images for free?

TerraSAR-X is a commercial satellite, so they are not provided for free, with two exceptions:

• Sample data by Airbus: https://www.intelligence-airbusds.com/en/8262-sample-imagery
• TSX data provided by ESA within the “Third Party Mission” agreement of selected places: https://tpm-ds.eo.esa.int/smcat/TerraSAR-X/ (requires registration of an ESA account)
