Dears,
Can any one help me as I’m in the final phase of my research. I have worked on oil spill detection on Snap and reached the results ( attached below ). to examine my work I have used VNA to hit an oil spill and provide the Sigma0 readings. my question how can I get the sigma0 value from the Snap of an oil spill as shown below.
With many thanks in advance!!

I think you could calibrate your image to sigma0,
when you have calibrated the data and you already have Sigma0 you don’t need to select the “radiometric normalization” in the Terrain Correction module.
Application of the orbit files is not mandatory but often improves the geometric accuracy of your product. It should be done at the very beginning.
Orbit File
Calibrate to Sigma0
Speckle Filter
Terrain Correction
Convert to dB
for SLC data I would suggest
Calibration to Beta0
TOPSAR Deburst
Apply Orbit file
(Speckle filtering)
Radiometric terrain flattening
Range Doppler Terrain Correction
If you don’t need the phase information you can also download it as a GRD product and only apply the following:
Thermal noise removal
Apply Orbit file
Calibration to Beta0
(Speckle filtering)
Radiometric terrain flattening
Range Doppler Terrain Correction
or (if you don’t have much topography):
Thermal noise removal
Apply Or…
