Volcano Monitoring in Indonesia

Dear all,

We processed a series of ALOS-1 images on three active volcanoes in Indonesia but to validate our results (Attached to the post) and most importantly atmospheric correction, we need to have some information such as GPS observations or meteorological observations. Could anybody please help and guide us on how we can access this data? In the following, you can see MLV from our InSAR processing.

Best regards,
Sayyed

Dear all,

Could anybody please help me to finalize this research and guide me to access to the ground observations to evaluate our results?

Best regards,
Sayyed

Did you try to directly contact the Indonesian Geological Agency?
If such ground measurements exist, this would probably the best address:
http://www.vsi.esdm.go.id/

Some of their documents might also give you hints on where to find validation information:

Dear Braun,

Thank you so much for your information. Actually, I didn’t ask directly the Indonesian Geological Agency for my required information. By your sent link, I will send my request for the organization and I hope that I can get the positive answer from them.

Best regards,
Sayyed

good luck!

Dear Braun,

Thank you. Do you have any experience in the monitoring of subsidence caused by the volcano? I need to know about the machanism of subsidnce in volcanic area before and after the eruption.

Best regards,
Sayyed

we have quite many topics on this in here:

And the InSAR tutorials provide a very good start:

Dear Braun,

Thank you so much for your suggestions. They are so great. Can I ask another question from you?

Best regards,
Sayyed

Sure. That is what this forum is about.

Thank you in advance. In another post, you said about some materials in this website, https://saredu.dlr.de/unit/insar_basics, but it doesn’t work. Do you have the materials of this site? You suggested this website in post titled " Some explanations about concepts of fringes of interferogram and coherence". I do really appreciate if you guide me to access these great files.

Best regards,
Sayyed

all materials have been moved to the EO College page:
https://eo-college.org/resources/

You find the resources with the same name (and several new ones) there, including the InSAR basics.
