Thank you @gnwiii, however the Coherence calculation was working fine with SNAP 7 on the same machine - problems started when I had to update SNAP to v 8.0.3 to solve the change in the orbit file repo

Hi guys After reading all posts in this thread, I am still really confused. It would be great if one of the moderators (@ABraun @marpet @mengdahl) of the forum could take some time to summarize the current status, regarding both snap as gui, cli and snappy-api. Solution: at least for Linux with GLIBC older than 2.23, remove snap/s1tbx/modules/ext/org.jlinda.jlinda-* and replace with versions from SNAP 7.0.x.
i.e.: /bin/ln -fs snap_7.0.x/s1tbx/modules/ext/org.jlinda.jlinda-* snap_8.0.x/s1tbx/modules/ext/
I believe the problem is that 8.0.x jblas.jar includes a static build of libquadmath, that references a dynamic libm.so.6 at version GLIBC_2.23, which I and other distros do not have.

I solved this issue using the workaround and using full path of the SNAP 7 s1tbx jblas jar - i.e. /bin/ln -fs /opt/snap_7.0.x/s1tbx/modules/ext/org.jlinda.jlinda-* /opt/snap_8.0.x/s1tbx/modules/ext/
