Apply orbit fails with gpt but not with GUI

I am using SNAP 14.0.1 on Windows 10 to process Sentinel-1 SLC data with GPT and an XML graph containing Apply Orbit File and Calibration.

Some acquisitions fail in GPT with:

Unable to connect to http://step.esa.int/auxdata/orbits/.../: Connect timed out

followed by:

No valid orbit file found

However, the same graph and the same SLC process successfully through the SNAP GUI.

For example, the 23 July 2020 S1A acquisition fails with GPT but works in the GUI.

Is this a known issue with GPT retrieving Sentinel-1 POEORB files, and is there a recommended way to make GPT use the orbit files reliably?

Do you have any proxy configured in your environment?

Yes, I have, but I’m assuming it’s working because when I click Test connection I get the green symbol

Could you please add the following lines to your <esa-snap_install_dir>\bin\gpt.vmoptions file?

-Dhttp.proxyHost=<proxy_host>
-Dhttp.proxyPort=<proxy_host>
-DproxyUser=
-DproxyPassword=

If the username and password are not specified in the file, they should be provided at runtime.

Dear Diana, thank you. Now, I can batch-process all scenes.
