DinSAR using images with different flight direction

Is it correct to create a differential interferogram using sentinel and ERS/RadarSat images with different satellite flight direction? It’s because of poor data availability or data access requirement.

different satellites can be combined, but only if the products are from the same track. This has been successfully demonstrated for

  • Sentinel-1A and Sentinel-1B
  • ERS-1 and ERS-2
  • ERS and ENVISAT

mainly, because these missions were designed for this in advance, at least for a part of their lifetime.

A different flight direction (e.g. ascending and descending) will not work and I don’t think Radarsat and ERS followed identical tracks.
