Distribute SNAP for Linux with flatpak

Hi,

I’ve already seen a couple of different posts about issues with SNAP and its installation on different Linux systems, especially on headless and VM infrastructures.

I’m wondering (suggesting) if it would be an option to have future releases of snap also available through flatpack?

If someone is not familiar with flatpack , I’ll give the word to wikipedia:

Flatpak is a software utility for software deployment, package management, and application virtualization for Linux desktop computers. It provides a sandbox environment in which users can run applications in isolation from the rest of the system.

Flathub already hosts some great software, such as QGIS3 etc, so would be awesome if SNAP could be there as well!

Val

PS: I’m not affiliated with Flatpak, just a fan.
