Fatal Error by JRE during Enhanced Spectral Diversity

Dear all,

I’m receiving following error when running ESD on a Red Hat Enterprise Machine with openjdk version 1.8.0_322 installed:

A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

SIGBUS (0x7) at pc=0x00001479522ec1e0, pid=2207889, tid=0x0000144e1d3fe700

JRE version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment (Zulu 8.44.0.13-CA-linux64) (8.0_242-b20) (build 1.8.0_242-b20)

Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (25.242-b20 mixed mode linux-amd64 )

Problematic frame:

V [libjvm.so+0x6e01e0] jni_GetObjectField+0x0

The hs_err_ log is attached.

Does anybody know what the problem is?

Hey all,

it turned out that an Out-of-Memory error was responsible for this SIGBUS error… Unfortunately it took me quite some time to find the origin of the error without meaningful error description.
