Georeferencing S3 OLCI L1 EFR

Hi all,
I am experiencing some issues in reprojecting S3 images. For instance the product S3B_OL_1_EFR____20181122T151143_20181122T151424_20200115T144929_0161_018_039_4500_MR1_R_NT_002.SEN3

I can visualize it, but if I try to reproject it in epsg:3031 (Antarctic Polar Stereographic)


I got the messagge (this is independent of the “reproject tie-point grid” option):

However I do not have any space issue on my pc: I have 100GB free on my disk and 64GB of ram.

Doeas anyone has any hint on how solve this issue?

The issue is caused by the location of the product it coresses the anti-meridian. When projecting SNAP creates a target product which goes around the globe instead just using the area around the antimeridian.

Maybe it is possible for you to create a subset first which lies on one side of the ant-meridian. Afterwards the reprojection should work

Marco, thanks a lot for the workaround. It worked for me. However this can be a big issue for polar science, given it is quite common to have images that crosses the line of change date.
Is there a place where to suggest to tackle this issue?

The forum is the best place for such suggestions.
We have it on the agenda since a quite some time. I’ve created a dedicated Issue for it now (SNAP-1319).
