Ground deformation due to Earthquake using Sentinel 1 image and DInSAR

Hi! I’m working on another research with the title above.

May I ask what is the workflow to get the displacement due to earthquake? How to determine if it is horizontal or vertical displacement? Can the displacement be visualized in 3d?

You need to generate the interferograms between two images before and after the earthquake. Then, you can see the fringes of co-seismic displacement if the magnitude and depth of the event are suitable to generate the surface displacement.

To do the decomposition and recognize the horizontal and vertical directions of displacement, you must have three observation with the different geometries. For example, two ascending and descending orbits of S1 in combination with GPS or another InSAR result from other sensors will be good to do that.
