How to open products in ESA SNAP downloaded from other apps (e.g. QGIS, SCP Plugin)

Hi everyone, Magandang araw!

How can I open in ESA SNAP a product downloaded from another software ?

I downloaded a Sentinel 2 product through the Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin in QGIS 3.16.

I try to open MTD_MSIL1C.xml but an error says “No appropriate product reader found. File … cannot be opened.”

When I try to open MTD_TL.xml, ESA SNAP has no response.

SNAP needs the original products, because tjey contain all metadata as required by the software.
You could still open the tif files and stack them in SNAP, but most operators wouldn’t work on this because of missing metadata.

Thanks for the info Abraun.

But how come I couldn’t find the product in scihub.copernicus.eu? I tried filtering Sentinel 2, S2MSI1C, specific dates of ingestion/sensing, path/orbit number. The same product doesn’t come up.

Just search for
S2A_MSIL1C_20151021T023332_N0204_R003_T51PUR_20151021T023330

then you should find.
It is offline so you need to order it first before you can download it.
