Iceye recently released free open SAR data Open Data Initiative | ICEYE . I’ve been wanting to work on it but can’t open the images correctly in SNAP. The products are available under geotiff format with a side json metadata file. If I open the product as a geotiff it’s not recognized as a SAR image (and the quick visualisations with the GRD is bugged). If I do: open product → select the grd or slc, then SNAP detects that it’s an ICEYE image (cf screenshot), but after selecting “Iceye Product Format”, nothing happens, the product doesn’t load into SNAP. I’ve gone through the logs and it seems like SNAP is having a tough time retrieving the metadata. I’ve tried to store the metadata json in the same folder but it does not solve the problem. Does anybody know how to open and process GRD or SLC Iceye data when it’s stored as a geotiff ?
