Is Multilooking necessary for monitoring ground deformation overtime?

I’m currently working on a MSc thesis and researching ground movements and deformation of the moraine dam at lake Palcacocha and surrounding area.

I’m using SAR data from Sentinel-1 to create deformation maps in SNAP. I’m wondering whether applying multilooking is necessary in this case when I’m not monitoring a single event. I have created deformation maps for the same dates, applying multilooking to one and not to the other and received

different results with one showing more deformation than the other.

Is there any correct answer to this ? The 1st image is when multilooking is applied and the second image has no multilooking.
