L2-WFR chl data

Hi All
While reading pixel info in SNAP for L2-WFR data (CHL_NN and CHL_OC4ME), it gives directly chlorophyll value in (mg/m^3) or it is log base 10 transformed data. Do we have to calculate actual chlorophyll by taking CHL_NN on 10 raise to the power (i.e. 10^CHL_NN) for getting actual pixel value. Since in meta data CHL_NN is written as log transformed and a scaling factor (0.0157…) is also given.
Please guide me to retrieve the correct pixel value for retrieving CHL_NN.

@TomBlock can you help?

Dear arvindsahay,

SNAP detects the log scaled data and transforms to geophysical values, i.e. applies the inverse log to the raw data. If you check the properties of CHL_NN, it says units are unscaled (mg.m-3).

With best regards,
Tom
