MTCI (Envisat vs. S-2)

Hello, I am wondering what is the relationship between MTCI computed on the basis of Envisat and S-2 data? Did S-2 somehow exchange Envisat, using the same formula but different data?
I would be very grateful for the information, unfortunately I couldn’t find any reliable source on that matter.

Yes, MTCI reference is written in the help of the processor (Dash and Curran, 2004), so it is an inheritance from MERIS developments,

Hi,

In this paper, it notes that MTCI uses (B6 − B5)/(B5 − B4) in S2.
