I understand that the Orbit files may be delayed in upload, but this is from June 12th so quite a bit older. Even more confusing is the fact that this date seems to have a precise file, but not a restituted one, meaning that SNAP is unable to download any orbit file to process for this particular date.

Is there a reason for this missing file/will it appear eventually? Can we force SNAP to look for precise files if the restituted file is not found? Ideally this needs to something handled automatically - as we use SNAPs GPT to handle a lot of our ingrained process.

As an update to this, manually downloading the Orbit Files from alternative sources and placing it in the appropriate folder ~/.snap/auxdata/Orbits/Sentinel-1/POEORB/… does not work and will not consume the file, having tried both the .EOF and EOF.zip extensions. All names and folder locations are correct.

Unfortunately, I do not have a solution. But maybe it increases the urgency to solve the issue when I report that several members of our working group encountered the same problem.

I think this would be good solution to a steadily recurring problem. @mengdahl is this realistic?

That is strange. Have you looked at the file to see whether it is corrupted?
