Offset Tracking, results in RBIS, Antarctica

I have to admit, obtaining this kind of results within minutes of playtests is what makes SNAP such a good software for young EO researchers / students. You’ll be sure the team behind all that will have a dedicated paragraph in my dissertation.

Displacement field over the Roi Baudouin Ice Shelf, Antarctica :

Kudos to the SNAP developing team for doing such a fantastic job.

Thanks Quentin, this if nice to hear.
Good luck for your dissertation.

Nice results, btw.

looks great indeed! Would you mind sharing the image IDs and parameter settings via PM - I’m always looking for nice examples for my lectures and practical excercises.

This looks fantastic. Can you please share the Image IDs and mainly the offset parameters which you used? I know this post is old so you might not remember some things, do you?
Thank you!

Thank you for your nice words.

Here are the IDs of images:

S1A_IW_GRDH_1SSH_20190901T184536_20190901T184601_028831_034450_9E38
S1A_IW_GRDH_1SSH_20190913T184537_20190913T184602_029006_034A62_3EDF

And the parameters retrieved from the .dim file

<MDATTR name="xCorrThreshold" type="ascii">0.15</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="resamplingType" type="ascii">BICUBIC_INTERPOLATION</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="registrationWindowHeight" type="ascii">128</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="fillHoles" type="ascii">true</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="gridAzimuthSpacing" type="ascii">100</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="registrationWindowWidth" type="ascii">128</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="registrationOversampling" type="ascii">64</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="averageBoxSize" type="ascii">9</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="maxVelocity" type="ascii">5.0</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="radius" type="ascii">4</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="gridRangeSpacing" type="ascii">100</MDATTR>
<MDATTR name="spatialAverage" type="ascii">true</MDATTR>

Note that you can really diminish the registrationOversampling which is a bit overkill here (45 min). Consider a 16 or 32 Oversampling factor to reduce the computation time to 8 to 16 min.

Cheers,
