Is a standard SNAP installation affected by the new Oracle JDK licensing restrictions for commercial use?

no this should not affect the use of SNAP. The current version is not affected because it still uses Java 8. And for the next release we plan to switch to OpenJDK (Not sure if doable). Even if not, as far as I unerstood the license change it affects only the (commercial) support you would get. If you are fine to use a version with official Oracle support, it is still possible to use the Oracle JDK. But here I’m nut fully sure. If someone knows it better he can correct me. I would be happy to be enlightened regarding the license issues.
At least I can say that we will somehow manage it. You don’t need to worry.
