S1 Slice Assembly problems

Hi developers,

I got an out of memory error when trying to assemble slices in snap version 5.0.0
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
Dumping heap to /home/cmarin/.snap/var/log/heapdump.hprof …
Heap dump file created [6563355875 bytes in 13.210 secs]

Looking to the size of heapdump created I think there is something serious going on here. I am using a machine with 32GB RAM (is this enough ??)

Hope is something easy to be solved.

Have you installed the 64 bit version? If yes, try to increase the available memory:

Maybe an other option is to increase the memory heap size. In the ‘etc’ folder of the installation directory you’ll find a file named snap.conf. Open it in a text editor.There is the line which starts with 'default_options='In this line you’ll find an option like -J-Xmx5G. Increase the value. You could use something like -J-Xmx13G, if you have enough memory in your computer

I have a different problem with slice assembly.

All my attempts to assemble ends with SNAP error about product DB.

What is that product database?
With error in image and empty progressbar SNAP just freezes and must be closed by task manager.
What could be wrong here?

UPD. Ok, this looks like some kind of SNAP GUI problem because back-geocoding throws the same error and freezes.
