S2 imagery will not be displayed in SNAP

I am currently trying to load a Sentinel-2 dataset into SNAP (Version 2.0). After having loaded the product via its xml file, I do see the bounding box in the World View or World Map windows. However, I don’t see any image in the right window, not even after double clicking on one of the bands. Also, creating an RGB image won’t work.

Of course, I have already ensured that the path does not contain any spaces, it now is of the form D:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder-3\Folder4\Folder5\S2A_OPER_PRD_MSIL1C_PDMC_20160315T115050_R065_V20150826T102655_20150826T102655.SAFE\S2A_OPER_MTD_SAFL1C_PDMC_20160315T115050_R065_V20150826T102655_20150826T102655.xml

What could the reason be?

First thing you should do is to update to SNAP Version 3.0 and get the latest module updates also.
Second is good practice to keep Sentinel-2 data close to the root directory of your hard drive. Because the paths can otherwise exceed 260 character length. This cause currently on windows some problems.
