I was wondering if the representation below shows a Right-facing acquisition:
Using common-sense I would call it a Right-facing acquisition but I’m not able to find any confirmation by a reliable source.

The convention is mission dependent as well as processing software dependent. Most missions and software use the convention above (w.r.t platform moving forward). There are some notable exceptions like RISAT, which defines looks side in its metadata as w.r.t to direction pointing backward.
