Sentinel-1 IPF3.4 Product Specification released

This describes the S-1 product to be put into operations in the near future (current IPF version is 3.31):

Sentinel-1 Product Specification 3.9 - Sentinel (copernicus.eu)

There are two major updates on the L1 product:

  1. Introducing an annotation of burst ID within the current annotation files (unique ID for each burst on a World map)
  2. Introducing new annotations (new files) related to mitigation of radio frequency interferences

The updates of L2 products are minor (just adding a new variable in the already existing NetCDF files).

This is quite useful! Looking at the linked guide See Section 9.25 of [R-14] for a detailed description of the burst ID calculation method. which points to “Sentinel-1 Level 1 Detailed Algorithm Definition, Issue 2/3, Mar. 23, 2021, MPC.” . But I’m unable to locate the updated Detailed Algorithm Definition doc.

Edit: Looks like the Algorithm Doc was updated

@mengdahl according to the table Tpre and Tbeam are hardcoded from mission planning, but those values are not listed. I’m interested in using the standard burstIds naming for existing SLCs, and wondering what those values are without having to reverse engineer them.
