Setting Environment Variable in Linux / Ubuntu

[Edited after finding out myself] : I try to install SNAP on Ubuntu. The Environment Variable is not set automatically, so I tried to add /home/max/snap/bin to the /etc/environment file. This worked after a restart. But while in NEST and I think SNAP until the previous version, the command was “gpt.sh” it is now “gpt” also in Linux. I assume that was a change just implemented and will remain such?

Sorry, this post is a duplicate now to this one Gpt command line in Ubuntu , feel free to delete it …
