SNAP does not open IW3 data in many products

Hi SNAP, working on some data I realized SNAP cannot open IW3 data in many products. Info is in the metadata, but bands are not loaded. See SNAP screenshot:

Also invoking the products from cli commands generates errors when searching for IW3 bands, here is an example:

How is that possible? Is it product or S1-tbx problem? Thank you very much for any help…

Are you on SNAP 9.0.8 which I believe is the latest version?

Yes, I do. SNAP tells also there are no updates available.

Are you opening a zipped product? Can you unzip it and try again?

Hi @diana_harosa, yes I was working with zipped product. It actually works fine using unzipped product… even if in a weird way… the first time I drag-and-drop the unzipped product into SNAP it loads with no IW3 data… from the second time on I do the same, IW3 data are correctly opened…

Is that a bug?

Sounds like a GUI-bug to me. What is your OS?

I am running on Windows 11.

Let me also specify that there are zipped S1 products that are correctly opened by SNAP (e.g., S1A_IW_SLC__1SDV_20230219T173214_20230219T173241_047308_05AD87_D7A1.zip), so I am inclined to believe that the bug is in the products… but this is just my guess.

A similar problem has been posted here: Changes to Copernicus Sentinels data access - Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem - #16 by Unmanaged0292 and JIRA ticket SNAP-3578 has been created to track the issue.
