Another module could not be installed due to the above problems.

I can repeat the update but it always comes back to this message. And SNAP, while it starts, does not have many processing module available.

Updates worked for me on two Windows 10 and two linux systems (the same module files are used across all platforms). One Windows system is on an “enterprise” network. Among the many potential reasons for upgrade failures are: some background process (GPT, Python running ESA snappy, …) using the modules, disk full, corrupt filesystem, or anti-virus false positives on the missing modules. Check Windows “Reliability Monitor” and the logs for your AV software. Also try updating after rebooting with no other processes running. Some Enterprise level AV systems work at the network level and replace “unverified” downloaded files with an html document telling you how to get the files released from quarantine. If you think this might be your situation, you should try to locate one of the problem files and see if you can view a message in a web browser.

You could try to delete some of the content related to the updates.

If you are on Windows:
Press WINDOWS+R and type appdata in the upcoming dialog and press enter.
Then navigate to:
<UserDir>\AppData\Roaming\SNAP
Delete the folders:

  • modules
  • update
  • update_tracking
This will reset your SNAP to the state of the initial installation without updates.

Then you can try install the latest updates again.

Thank you for the reply.

Thanks - deleting those folders and rerunning fixed the problem.
