Snaphu Unwrapping exits immediately

Hi,

Posting this because none of the usual fixes seem to work.

Snaphu unwrapping has worked perfectly for the past 2 months on SNAP v12 and I have been able to process images using the exact same method I tried to use today (the method used in TOPS Interferometry Tutorial, but with row+column overlap as 500) Instead of running normally, it goes to 100% completed almost immediately:

This is a reproducible error I have tried with other interferograms which I have previously processed successfully using snaphu so this is likely an error with the tool, not the product. I have performed a fresh installation of snaphu and everything, which was unsuccessful. The subset product’s coherence and phase appears to be normal, and as far as I can tell Snaphu Export is creating all products as it should:

The log does have this error in it, although I’m uncertain what I would need to change to fix this:

SEVERE [org.esa.snap]: Error processing template before execution for parameter [copyFilesTemplate]
SEVERE [org.openide.util.RequestProcessor]: Error in RequestProcessor org.netbeans.modules.progress.ui.RunOffEDTImpl$3
java.nio.file.InvalidPathException: Malformed input or input contains unmappable characters: Snaphu-unwrapping-after.vm_result_8_31_25_12_46_19 AM

I’ve double and triple checked I’m using the subset product for both export and unwrapping, that snaphu is installed correctly, that I’ve run the execute command (this is running on linux) and that USERPROFILE is set to the export product directory.

Any help is appreciated. I’m at a total loss here.

Ok, so I was just messing around continually reinstalling snaphu and somehow it now works again. It took about 3 rounds of uninstalling and reinstalling before it worked again though. I don’t know exactly what I did but I think the problem was with the export not writing the tiles folder (probably…). I guess if you have the same issue, try a fresh install? I know that’s not very helpful but honestly I’m really confused on what happened to break it and then fix it again.

I can confirm: there is a bug somwhere, I tried on two different machines (win 10 and win 11) the same problem. However, ‘snaphu export’ works properly and it is possible to start unwrapping in a command line, them ‘snaphu import’ also works well. So it seems that it is problem with snaphu-unwrapping and batch snaphu unwrap functions, probably some paths are missing
