Snappy buffer overflow detected in Eclipse IDE debug

#1

Hi, I’m trying to read an image and metadata associated. I’m programming with:

  • Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
  • Eclipse IDE for JavaScript and Web Developers
    Version: 2018-09 (4.9.0)
    Build id: 20180917-1800
  • Pydev plugin environment v 7.0.3.201811082357
  • Python 2.7
  • SNAP 6.0.0
  • JRE 1.8.0_102-b14
  • Snappy

When I set the Eclipse IDE into debug mode, I have the following message in the first breakpoint (no matter where is the breakpoint):

warning: Debugger speedups using cython not found. Run '"/usr/bin/python2.7" "/home/esufan/eclipse2/plugins/org.python.pydev.core_7.0.3.201811082356/pysrc/setup_cython.py" build_ext --inplace' to build.

I have noted when from snappy import ProductIO is commented, debug works fine…
On the other hand, I when I move to Windows OS everything works fine :open_mouth:. Of course, with the same tools and configuration described bellow…
So, it seems to be a configuration problem of Snappy… Any clue?
