Suitability of Sentinel-1 SLC Pairs for Interferometric Processing

Hello There

I am looking at two S1 SLC image pairs from different dates about a year apart for the possibility of interferometric processing.

By looking at the acquisition footprint I am getting skeptic if I can go ahead with the generation of interferograms. If you notice the footprints, both the scenes have high overlapping areas but one of the scenes is a bit skewed and cropped at the edges.

Will it be possible under such a situation to generate an interferogram?

I would like to take this opportunity to understand if interferograms can be generated by combining data from Ascending and Descending passes with common overlapping areas as shown below

no, this is not possible.

The black areas are not missing, they are later removed in the TOPS Deburst step.
