I installed SNAP for the first time on my laptop (Linux 64-bit version) yesterday afternoon and the subsequent (daily) virus scan quarantined a possible trojan in the SNAP installation.
The file it quarantined is:
/opt/snap/snap/modules/ext/org.esa.snap.snap-core/it-geosolutions-jaiext-imagefunction/jt-imagefunction.jar
I’m sorry for the inconvenience but I’m sure that this is a false alarm. Once in a while, this can happen.
You can check the file with an online scanner, like https://www.virustotal.com/#/home/upload
It checks the file with 57 antivirus tools. I just did it. Nothing harmful was found. Scan Result
You could report this alarm to your antivirus software provider. Then they will check it and with the next update, the alarm will be gone.
