SNAP appears to install correctly but does not generate a SNAP desktop icon so unable to open it. Installed second version on a VM running Windows 10 and SNAP opens as expected using that desktop icon.
If I remeber correctly, it is true that on MacOS no desktop icon is created. But you should find SNAP in the Applications section.
