Uncertainty map?

#1

How do we create an uncertainlty map? I know coherence (in inverse) can be used to create uncertainty but how do I incorporate DEM’s uncertainty as well?

#2

areas of low coherence are the most uncertain in the DEM as well.
SNAP has an uncertainty tool but it’s meant for optical data. You can, however, mask out areas of low coherence as described here: Subsidence map in 3d view

#3

Yeah I have masked them out and then interpolated the whole surface using high coherence points, but don’t we need uncertainty map in these kind of studies?

#4

not necessarily. Of course, dealing with uncertainties in the result is always the better choice than taking calculations as the ultimate truth. But it’s not a mandatory step for InSAR processing.
