Hello everyone, I am a new user and I’m having trouble with the Wind Field Estimation of the Sentinel-1 toolbox. All the resulting wind speeds are 0.1 m/s (which is not realistic) although I do get a variation in wind directions. As input I use radiometrically calibrated S1 GRD products and as Source band for the wind field estimation I use Sigma0VV. Does anybody have an idea what I’m missing here? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The algorithm was originally developed for Envisat…it has not been adapted to S-1.
Hello mengdahl and thnaks for the reply. Since wind field estimation form S1 images is not possible with SNAP, can you please provide instructions for World Wind analysis? I have downloaded a level-2 OCN product according to Wind field estimation - re load vector layer and will try extract wind field information from there but instructions from the Help menu are insufficient.
