That is why friendly user forums are important.
In general, free software needs more effort from users than commercial software. SNAP covers a broad range of topics, so no one person can understand all of it. A lot of work is needed just to keep up with new sensors and algorithms… There are also changes to the underlying platforms (new versions of Java, Python, libraries, new hardware, changes to data repositories, etc.). We users are better off if the developers focus on expanding capabilities and fixing bugs, but that often means users interfaces are neglected.
