Difficult to download Sentinel-1 orbit files in SNAP

Hello,
I used SNAP to do Sentinel-1 interferometry. It needs precise orbit files, but i found it took a very long time (more than one hour) in the step ‘Apply orbtit file’ due to, I think, the network connection problem. Can I download the orbit files mannually and put it in somewhere that SNAP can skip automatic download step? And in which folder i should put it in?

For anyone else running into this issue, I was able to manually download the orbit files from here: http://step.esa.int/auxdata/orbits/Sentinel-1/POEORB/ And load them into my .snap\auxdata\Orbits\Sentinel-1\POEORB folder. This allowed me to proceed with running the software as normal, but I have yet to figure out whats stopping the software from downloading the orbits automatically from the website.

kind of silly question. Are those orbit files applicable for all sentinel 1 acquisitions all over the globe?

Yes, you will need to use the correct orbit file for the acquisition. SNAP will find it for you automatically.
