How to cite SNAP as software in scientific papers

Dear all,

I would like to know the proper citation for the SNAP as a whole.
I have found specific ones for S1TBX, or SNAP with S3 toolbox… but nothing usable as a whole.

Can you help me with that?

Hi Christoph, indeed currently we have no official citation text but thanks to your question we will start to think about it. In the meantime you can use a similar citation text for SNAP as GDAL suggests. Maybe something like: SNAP - ESA Sentinel Application Platform v2.0.2, http://step.esa.int Thanks for thinking about to give us credits and visibility.

But you have seen this probably before.
I guess you want to highlight also the toolboxes. But which ones? All? I think this would be too much for a single citation. Better cite each toolbox you have used separately.
