S1 image opens upside down

Why when I simply try to open a downloaded S1 GRD image does it open upside down? When I open the same image in QGIS everything’s fine?

Is it something to do with the error I get when trying to unzip the S1 package downloaded from the hub - says PDF file name too long…?

It’s the ESA convention to always show the images according to the acquisition geometry. Other software may put it with North always up. The image can be ‘corrected’ after terrain correction or map projection.
